Tagetes : French Marigolds are the favorite annual flowers in our gardens easy to grow and they bloom from spring until frost in late fall. Plants are bushy with single or double flowers in a color range from red to mahogany, from yellow to orange, several are striped or bicolored. Their leaves are dark green and finely cut. Used in landscape for borders, color massing, edging, cut flowers and container plants. Sometimes used to repel harmful insects in our gardens.
Seed sowing : From February to Mai Flowering : Spring to Fall Hight : Tagetes usually reach 15 to 20 cm. Exposition : Full Sun
Sowing instructions : Tagetes are best started under chassis or in greenhouse six weeks before planting out, in a well drained soil. Prepare flowerbeds by mixing in pine bark or leaf mold. Transplant seedlings with the size of 4 to 6 cm hights, when there is no more danger of frost leaving them 15 cm apart directly in a sunny place of your garden.
