The Lucullus white beet is a late variety with light green foliage and intermediate size leaves. The Lucullus variety is mainly cultivated for its white carding brushes. The white beet should not especially miss water, therefore think of watering them in the event of strong heat. The carding brushes as well as the leaves are delicious cooked with butter or with cream, you can also make delicious gratin. In our areas it is cultivated like an annual, whereas it is bi-annual. It is an ideal variety for the culture autumn - winter.

Collect white beets: From November to spring
Height: The white beet can reach up to 70 to 80 cm
Exposure: Sunny

Sowing instructions: Seed sowing in a seed hole from 3 to 4 seeds at 1 cm of depth every 30 cm, clear up to keep only the strongest plant . You also sow under seedbed out of cups and transplanrt as soon as the seedlings have 4 to 5 leaves.

Sowing distance: 40 cm by 30 cm
Minimum seed sowing temperature: 10 °C
Seed germination: 10 to 20 days
Nutritional value: 33 Kcal to the 100 gr.
