Basil: It is also called pistou in the south of France, the Genovese variety is very appreciated cooks. The basil, plants annual reached on average 30 to 40 cm, its leaves green in the shape of spoon and ovals to the penetrating odor are very aromatic. One can also cultivate it out of pots or flower stand on a balcony as in open ground. The basil badly tolerates temperatures with the lower part of 10°C. The basil can be is to freeze or to dry but it loses most of its flavor.
