The asparagus: Early vegetable of white and green purplished colour, very delicate and scented savor, firm and tender stem. Always cut the base of asparaguses 3 to 4 cm from the soil, as this part is firm and fibrous, keep only the tip, put in cold water with some lemon juice after peeling to avoid tanning, asparagus is a good source of vitamins after a long winter.

Sowing instructions: Seed sowing directly in place after any danger of frost is past, sow 2 to 3 cm in depth every 10 cm, in a light sandy soil. You need patience to cultivate asparagus as you transplant the crowns only one year after seed sowing. The second year partial harvest is possible, you have to collect as soon as there is 2 to 3 spears every plant so the other asparaguses will grow and to avoid plant weakening. Clean out weeds and air the soil. After Harvest you need to transplant the crowns the 3rd year at a distance of 40 cm to 80 cm in line in a depth of 20 cm.
